NATIONAL STRESS AWARENESS DAY (NSAD)

One Day Conference

NSAD is a UK-wide 'Health Day'; a partnership between ISMA - The International Stress Managment Association - and the [Mainland] Health and Safety Executive.  Beth Gibb, of BGA is the NI media spokesperson for ISMA and is arranging the above mentioned regional conference on being Proactive rather than Reactive towards workplace health and well being.

This conference is about what YOU can do for YOUR Business/Organisation in promoting workplace health and wellbeing - experts will present, alongside stands/displays of relevant health promoting services and products of cost effective initiatives covering an Employer's Duty of Care, which are beneficial to the workplace.

THE PROGRAMME DETAILS SO FAR:

  • JEFFREY DONALDSON, as the local MP will open the event
  • LETITIA FITZPATRICK, ex UTV and now freelance journalist will be MC for the day
  • BETH GIBB will present on 'The Business Case for Workplace Health Interventions'
  • SIOBHAN DONNELLY (Lawyer with H&S expertise) will present on the legal aspects
  • VANESSA McMINN, a Dietitian will inform delegates on 'Mood and Food'
  • REBECCA ROBERTS will present on Drugs and Alcohol in the Workplace
  • THE ULSTER ORCHESTRA will have input on 'Music and Health'
  • JOE LOUGHLIN of 'The Gathering Drum' will provide light relief with a Drum Circle
  • ALMA McMANUS of Clothesology will be helping delegates 'Dress for Success'
  • KATHRYN BRYSON talks on 'Yoga at your Desk'
  • A variety of alternative therapists will be on hand to give 'taster' sessions

Besides attending as a Delegate, if you have a relevant service or product which endorses the theme for the day that you would like to promote, there are a number of options if you wish to participate:
